The challenge of finding and keeping qualified tradespeople in regional Australia is extremely difficult. Irritek has sought to fill the skill crisis to enable it to offer its broad range of services in two ways.
Irritek has long been an active supporter of indigenous employment programs in the local community. Irritek has been a user of the Aboriginal Employment Strategy to source staff since 2000. In 2001 Irritek was invited to become a Corporate Leader for Indigenous Employment by the Federal Government. Irritek is pleased to announce it has joined the Australian Employment Covenant . The Australian Employment Covenant is a national industry-led initiative to secure 50 000 sustainable jobs for indigenous Australians. Irritek has also sought to solve its immediate trade shortage by sponsoring 4 tradesmen under section 457 Visas.
